EOC INFORMATION REQUESTED
FOR NEXT MEETING

During a disaster your local vendor may be shut down causing a need to find vendors in other cities or utilize equipment from other agencies.  In order to be able to do this, we are requesting that you bring a list of local vendors for EOC supplies and services to the February meeting.  We would also like any agencies willing to do so, to submit their emergency phone/contact information that we can share with the group.  We will put the information together into a resource packet for all to use.

GENERAL INFO SHARED AND NEEDED

Jan Steese, City of Arcadia announced that a Human Resource Manager position may be opening up soon.  Jan was also requesting a Council Resolution from any agency which authorizes the City Manager to sign contracts on behalf of the city.  If you have this information, she would appreciate you forwarding it to her.

Bill Gellman, City of Brea talked about the State of California and Orange County Fuel contracts. He will compare prices and share the information with LAMPPAC.  Bill also reminded us that the State of California vehicle contracts are out with good prices and delivery schedules.

Dick Warner, City of Norwalk has chosen Pentamation as the new financial system with implementation in January 2001. He is also writing a new section on service contracts to Norwalk's Code.

Bill Niedfelt, City of Fullerton announced that there was a Memorial held
for Ed Enfiajian (Los Angeles Dept. of Water and Power) who passed away in November. Ed was a long time member of several purchasing organizations, as well as LAMPPAC, and held a C.P.M and CPPO certification. His professional advice and tremendous sense of humor will be missed by all.

Patty Romo, City of Pasadena is looking for asphalt/concrete bids. She also has a helicopter for sale. This is your chance to beat that commuter
traffic!

Lisa Villigas and Kristy Shadle from the City of Burbank brought in copies
of their newly minted Purchasing Procedures to share with us. We all know how time consuming writing procedures can be. Thank you Lisa and Kristy for your thoughtfulness.

LAMPPAC would like to thank everyone for his or her contributions to the group throughout the year.  Please take some time to reach out to other Purchasing professionals and invite them to a future meeting.  Have a Happy & Prosperous New Year!
