INTEGRATES SUPPLY SYSTEM (ISS)
PRESENTATION INFORMATIVE

At the March meeting, Western Water Works presented the group with an informative presentation regarding Integrated Supply System, ISS. ISS creates an efficient supply chain between the manufacturer, distributor and the user. It allows everyone to get the right product at the right place at the right time. Some of their current customers utilizing this process are City of Azusa and LaVerne.

Goals of ISS are to reduce the total supply chain cost, improve delivery cycles, consolidate vendors, allow for "real time" inventory, standardize materials and products, reduce inventory and warehouse space needs.

Western Water Works maintains all stock at an agency's site. They are responsible for the items and insure them. The agency does not pay for an item until it is used. They can also ship directly to a project job site, thereby eliminating shipping and storage delays. In many cases, stock can be delivered the same day.

Western Water Works will also work with agencies to create a Just In Time process and stock items at their facilities until needed.

If you would like further information, contact D. Bruce Himes at (909) 597-7000, ext. 615 or visit their website at www.WWWSCO.com
