INFO NEEDED, REQUESTED OR SHARED

Margarita Lee, City of Culver City, is looking for any agency which has an ordinance requiring vendors to give priority supplies to local agencies in the event of an emergency. If you have info, please forward to Margarita.

If any agency still requires information on the current fuel bid, please contact Gwen Eng, City of Manhattan Beach.

The City of Santa Fe Springs is starting a curbside recycling program. Paul Martinez would like to know if agencies are providing barrels for this service or are they requiring the trash collector to supply. Email Paul with the option that your city has taken.

Richard Hogate, City of El Segundo, is looking for sample RFP's for pre-employment physicals for employees. He would appreciate it if you could email him any information you have.

Bill Gellman, City of Brea, is looking for a policy that gives employees first chance to bid on old computers that a city may be disposing. He would also appreciate any agency sharing a contract for street curb painting services.

LAUSD is very busy lately. Marc Monforte will be sharing information at coming meetings regarding an RFI for choosing the best value furniture vendor. He has also informed members that all contracts and RFP's will be located on the LAUSD Purchasing website. This website is linked from LAMPPAC's website. The contracts will state if they are piggybackable.

Bill Niedfelt shared information with the group regarding two programs. There is a water meter subsidy fund that has been established to subsidize the purchase of non-lead meters from manufacturers. The subsidy is for residential water meters sized 5/8" and 3/4". The subsidy is $6.50 per 5/8" meter and $9.00 per 3/4" meter. If you would like further info, contact Bill or Kristina S. Ford of the Fund office at (415) 461-0410.

Bill also shared information regarding a cooperative eProcurement program. Secure Internet Commerce Network (SICOMMNET) has established a co-op program in San Diego for agencies and is extending the program to Southern California agencies for a short time. If you would like more information, contact Bill.
