APRIL PRESENTATION INFORMATIVE

Thomas A. Salas presented information from his firm regarding Industrial Hygiene and Safety. Mr. Salas discussed exposure control, regulations, training, assessment and other areas in terms of business and industrial buildings. Many issues such as microbial contamination (better known as "mold"), noise and air quality sampling, ergonomics are becoming increasingly talked about in the work environment. ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP DUES - DUE JUNE 30th

It's that time of year again when membership dues becomes due! Being a member of LAMPPAC is a valuable way of gathering and sharing information, combining purchasing power for joint bids, locating piggybacking bid opportunities and maintaining valuable relationships with fellow professionals. Annual dues is $50 and is due by June 30th. You can find a renewal application form on our website. All information necessary can be located on the form or you can contact Chris Klein, City of Glendale for further info.

INFO NEEDED AND SHARED

Robert Norman, City of Redondo Beach, is implementing CalCard and would like you to share any info you may have or written policies and procedures. He is also looking for information regarding reliable vendors for cellular phone service. Please contact Robert at robert.norman@redondo.org.

Felice Fromm, City of Torrance, has implemented an employee discount program with their current office supply vendor. The City stays "out of the loop" in terms of procedures and actual purchases but allows employees to "piggyback" off of their pricing. Many office supply vendors have similar programs. If you would like further info, contact Felice.

Bill Gellman, City of Brea, is looking for any agency that has a policy on which employees are issued business cards. If you have a policy, he would greatly appreciate you sharing it with him.
