Chair
Margarita Lee opened up the annual lunch meeting
at 2:00 P.M. following our 1 P.M. delicious Italian
pasta lunch, dessert and beverages. Margarita
followed by having members introduce themselves
and their agency to one another and to the speaker.
She introduced Mr. Steve Kaye, Ph.D.
Mr.
Kaye has written four books, has published hundreds
of articles, is a Certified Professional Facilitator,
has a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, and helps
clients through innovative workshops.
His
topic was titled, "Time Management - Uncovered".
He noted that some individuals use Post-It notes
for prioritizing setting of tasks. He addressed
various myths we have all heard frequently:
We
can control (manage) time (we can only control
our choices)
Time
management is easy (It is not easy)
Successful
people are lucky (successful people arrange for
good things to happen)
Failure
is bad (failure is unavoidable) · Life is a game.
He
spoke about what is success?

He
spoke briefly about planning, highlighting:

He
stressed that we all look with 'vision' and imagine
forward 20 years into the future, year by year,
with the "achievements' and 'Actions', and 'Changes'
we anticipate.
He
concluded by saying that obstacles are there to
test our commitment.
NOTE:
There
will not be a LAMPPAC meeting in January, 2010.
